The things people ask before they install it. If yours is not here, write to us — the address is on the contact page.
People aged 13 to 17. Anyone older is welcome to use it, but the words, the pace and the design were made for that age.
Yes. MoodKite is free, carries no advertising, and has nothing to buy inside it.
No. There is no account, no sign-in and no server. Everything you record is kept in MoodKite's private storage on your phone, where other apps cannot read it. It is also left out of your phone's automatic backups on purpose, so it does not travel to Google Drive or across to a new phone either.
Only if you show them. There is no dashboard for adults and no way for anything to be sent anywhere — the app has no server to send it through. If you want to talk about something you recorded, you open the app and show it.
Nothing happens. There is nothing to keep up and nothing to lose. A week with three moments in it is as valid as a week with twenty.
No. MoodKite is not a medical device and it is not a substitute for talking to someone. It describes what you noticed; it does not diagnose, score, rank or interpret. If you are struggling, please talk to an adult you trust, or to a professional.
The app is in Estonian, Russian and English, and you can switch at any time in Settings. This website is in English and Estonian.
Not yet. MoodKite is on Android today. An iPhone version is planned, and this site will say so when it arrives.
Any moment can be locked. Locking hides the details — the words you picked, what you noted alongside, and any note — while the mood itself stays visible and the moment still counts on your week. If your phone has a screen lock, MoodKite asks the phone to check it, and is told only whether the check succeeded; it never sees your fingerprint, your face data or your phone's PIN. If your phone has no screen lock, MoodKite offers a PIN of its own, chosen in the app and stored only on your phone.
Single moments can be deleted inside the app. Uninstalling MoodKite removes everything it has stored on the phone, every moment included. There is no copy anywhere else — which also means there is nothing to restore from if you change phone, and nothing you could ask us to delete.
